Parental Bill of Rights Legislation
This bill is in development and will help provide more power for parents to obtain information, improve the turnaround times for requests from the community, require the Boards of Education to reserve a section of each public meeting to answer questions from the community (or post written responses to public comments and questions to their respective websites within certain timeframes) and other similar requirements designed to more actively improve the transparency and communication between the public school system and the community.
